Ashesi awarded prize for best university web site in Ghana
Ashesi University has won the award for best University web site from the Regional Informatics Network for Africa (RINAF).  Nine websites representing seven Ghanaian Universities participated in the competition.
Ashesi student selected for "Excellence from Start" internship
Adjoa Asamoah Tabi Asiamah, a third year Computer Science student from Ashesi University was selected as one of the six finalists for the British American Tobacco "Excellence from Start" internship. 
Ashesi featured in Forbes Magazine article
Ashesi University is listed as an example of how Ghanaians from the Diaspora are returning home to start enterprises that can boost Africa's development from the inside.
Clausen Centre sends IBD team to Ashesi
A team of four MBA students from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley spent three weeks in Accra studying Ghana's higher education market.
Ashesi students design "smart" traffic light
Putting their Java and Discrete Mathematics skills to the test, the CS Class of 2006 wrote an algorithm for a “smart” traffic light.  The project has attracted attention from major media in Ghana and is supported by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
Student Government forms at Ashesi University
The students of Ashesi University elected the first leaders of the student government.  Ashesi's student government comprises three branches: Ashesi Student Council (ASC), Judicial and Electoral Committee (JEC), and Student Academic Committee (SAC).
United States Ambassador to Ghana visits Ashesi
United States Ambassador to Ghana, Mary Carlin Yates, paid an informal visit to Ashesi University.  The US Ambassador's visit came on the heels of Ashesi's approval for participation in the prestigious Fulbright Program.  During her visit, the ambassador had the opportunity to speak with students, faculty and administrators.
