Clausen Center for International Business & Policy

Ashesi University was quite literally incubated
at the Clausen Center, when Patrick
Awuah proposed a feasibility study for Ashesi University as a consulting project
with the International Business Development (IBD) program at UC Berkeley. IBD is
a global consulting program operated by the Clausen Center.
The feasibility study, which was conducted in May
1998, was the basis of Ashesi's business plan; and Nina Marini, who served on
the consulting team later joined Patrick Awuah as co-founder.
Ashesi's relationship with the
Clausen Center
has continued since that first study with several management consulting projects
that have helped guide the executive team of the university.
