Faculty Openings


Ashesi currently has the following adjunct faculty openings for the 2010/2011 first semester (23rd August – 17th December 2010).

  • Competitive Strategy (Marketing, Business Development)

  • Design (Engineering, Architecture, Information Technology, Product Development, Art and other relevant fields of study)

General requirements for faculty positions:

  • Masters degree and relevant professional experience, or a Doctorate degree and relevant teaching and research experience in the courses indicated above
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to teach in a discussion format and to encourage maximum classroom participation by students
  • Demonstrated capability in the use of computer technology
  • Substantial successful teaching experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with the liberal arts method of instruction. An undergraduate education at a liberal arts college is a plus.

Qualified candidates should submit the following as attachments as part of their application to the Human Resource Manager through

  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A cover letter
  • A one- to two-page statement of teaching philosophy and professional development interests, explaining the benefits of the proposed approach to teaching.
  • Names and contact addresses of three professional references, at least, two of whom can directly attest to your teaching and student counseling capabilities or potential.

Selection Process: Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview and may be asked to conduct an academic seminar and/or present some of their research work.
