“A Day in the Life of” Series

The “A day in the Life of” Seminar series provides students the opportunity to gain first hand insider information from a professional in an industry of interest. Professionals sign up to share with students what a typical day in their professions look like. They uncover the misconceptions students have about their professions and let the students in on the realities of pursuing such a profession. This we believe will better prepare our students to make realistic career decisions to appropriately fit into the corporate world when they leave school. Continuing students will also be able to generate ideas for internships that will lead them on the path to their chosen careers.

Individual Career Counseling

The Career Services Centre offers students individual career counselling sessions. Students are offered the privilege of interacting with experienced and skilled individuals who are equipped and endowed in the knowledge of career related topics. The Career Services Centre maintains a strict sense of professionalism during counselling sessions and we observe a high level of confidentiality. Visiting Executives Program

The VEP (Visiting Executives Program) is part of Ashesi’s broader efforts to develop leadership capacity for the 21st century challenges and preparing its students for the working world. The program is designed to enrich the learning experiences of current students, offers students, faculty and staff the opportunity to interact with seasoned executives who have proven track records of excellence, who understand the domestic and global challenges of the 21st century, and who can address the strategic focus of higher education's role in preparing the future workforce.

Selected executives are distinguished and influential individuals in their professions who will share their insights about, leadership, global workplace issues and the importance of ethics. During their time on campus, the executives will conduct seminars and lectures, talk with students about successful transitions into the workplace, and speak with faculty and staff about the changing needs and expectations in the workplace.
