ATF Ashesi is a chapter of African Technology Forum based at Ashesi (ATF was started at MIT by African students, to promote and publicize technology in Africa). ATF is an ecosystem of designers, tech enthusiasts, problem-solvers, researchers, business geniuses, etc. The main focus of the ATF team is to fence with prevalent problems in Africa using technology. At ATF, technology simply means transforming what your mind's eye sees into what others can use to solve simple problems in their homes. Unlike other identical clubs, ATF does not have a specific way of designing solutions (for example a dance may be the desirable solution); the ATF journey is totally inspired by the problem at hand.

ATF Ashesi is also not the only ATF chapter in Ghana, as KNUTS students are presently founding a chapter in their school. The mission of the board of African Technology Forum is to build chapters in various Universities on the African continent to enhance communication and collaboration amongst students from diverse communities. They believe that together, we can take charge of the wheel of our continent's future. A chapter today, another tomorrow, and soon we are network of change-makers.

We meet twice every month, 1st and last week of each month, in Hall 218 at 5:00pm - 5:50pm.
